CI Laundry Systems Service Technician

The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all industrial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and related equipment, located in the central Illinois territory of CI Laundry Systems
Equipment.

Duties include adjusting and repairing machines and ancillary products, replacing defective mechanical and electrical parts using hand and power tools, and providing technical advice regarding the maintenance and replacement of those machines.

• Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, safety and training programs of CI Laundry Systems Equipment.
• Monitor and track equipment on a daily basis by job site, type and use.
• Inspect equipment on a regular basis.
• Demonstrate effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies, and meet commitments.
• Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain equipment, and other assets, in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
• Attend appropriate technical and manufacturer training.
• Obtain additional licenses and certifications as appropriate.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the manufacturer's preventative maintenance programs.

• Assist in scheduling preventative maintenance tasks.

Physical Demands

The ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds on a frequent basis and up to one-hundred pounds on an occasional basis is required. A full range of physical motion is required to perform the job duties. The job requires prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis and working in confined spaces. The work is primarily performed indoors and can occasionally be in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Excellent dexterity is required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. Schedule will typically be Monday thru Friday from 7:30
AM -- 4 PM, but could include occasional weekend and/or holiday work depending on business needs.

Education, Experience and Licensing

A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Completion of technical school or courses in the
repair of clothes washers and dryers is preferred. Previous related experience is preferred, although not
required. *Valid Driver License and clean driving record required.*
